Titagarh Wagons Ltd’s proposed joint venture with FreightCar America Inc has suffered a setback with the Indian Railways rejecting the design prototype of aluminium wagons developed by the parties.
Titagarh’s another plan to set up a joint venture initiative with a Japanese company to make bridges, however, may see some concrete development soon despite uncertainties in the wake of the twin disaster of earthquake and tsunami suffered by the island nation sometime back.
