Three-month LME aluminium slid 0.17% to close at US$1,775/t; SHFE aluminium fell 0.94%

Three-month LME aluminium slid 0.17% to close at US$1,775 per tonne in choppy trading on Friday. It is likely to move between US$1,760-1,800 per tonne today.   

As of Friday September 11, LME aluminium cash (bid) price stands at US$ 1746.50 per tonne, LME official settlement price stands at US$1746.50per tonne; 3-months bid price stands at US$ 1785.50per tonne, 3-months offer price is US$ 1785.50per tonne; Dec 21 bid price stands at US$ 1863.50per tonne, and Dec 21 offer price stands at US$ 1863.50per tonne.

The LME aluminium opening stock stood at 1520650 tonnes. Live Warrants totalled 1297000 tonnes, and Cancelled Warrants were 223650 tonnes.

LME aluminium 3-months Asian Reference Price is hovering at US$ 1777.33per tonne.

SHFE Aluminium Price Trend

Benchmark aluminium price for SHFE decreased to stand at US$ 2133 per tonne on Monday, 14 September 2020.

The most-liquid SHFE 2010 aluminium contract climbed to an intraday high of RMB14,515 per tonne on Friday, ending the day 0.94% weaker at 14,235 per tonne. Open interest rose 4,695 lots to 127,000 lots.

The contract edged down 0.07% to end at RMB14,400 per tonne on Friday night. It is expected to trade between 14,200-14,500 today.
