Three-month LME aluminium fell 0.55% to close at US$2,509/t; SHFE aluminium dropped 1.14%

Three-month LME aluminium fell 0.55% to close at US$2,509 per tonne on Thursday. SMM expects the contract to trade between US$2,500-2,550 per tonne today.

As of Thursday July 1, LME aluminium cash (bid) price stands at US$ 2481per tonne, LME official settlement price stands at US$ 2481per tonne; 3-months bid price stands at US$ 2497.50per tonne, 3-months offer price is US$ 2497.50per tonne; Dec 22 bid price stands at US$ 2453 per tonne, and Dec 22 offer price stands at US$ 2453 per tonne.

The LME aluminium opening stock stood at 1568900 tonnes. Live Warrants totalled 941875tonnes, and Cancelled Warrants were 627025 tonnes.

LME aluminium 3-months Asian Reference Price is hovering at US$ 2511.05 per tonne.

SHFE Aluminium Price Trend

Benchmark aluminium price for SHFE decreased to stand at US$ 2884 per tonne on Friday, 2 July 2021.

The most active SHFE 2108 aluminium contract dropped 1.14% to end at RMB18,615 per tonne on Thursday. The most-liquid SHFE 2108 aluminium contract rose 0.08% to settle at RMB18,630 per tonne on Thursday night. It is expected to trade between 18,500-19,000 today.
