Three-month LME aluminium closed the week lower at US$2,446.5/t; SHFE aluminium fell 2.03%
Three-month LME aluminium weakened 0.31% to end at US$2,446.5 per tonne last Friday, with open interest adding 11,000 lots to 738,000 lots. SMM expects the contract to fluctuate between US$2,450-2,500 per tonne today.
As of Friday, May 14, LME aluminium cash (bid) price stands at US$ 2438 per tonne, LME official settlement price stands at US$ 2438 per tonne; 3-months bid price stands at US$ 2462.50 per tonne, 3-months offer price is US$ 2462.50 per tonne; Dec 22 bid price stands at US$ 2450 per tonne, and Dec 22 offer price stands at US$ 2450 per tonne.
The LME aluminium opening stock stood at 1762525 tonnes. Live Warrants totalled 1219000 tonnes, and Cancelled Warrants were 543525 tonnes.
LME aluminium 3-months Asian Reference Price is hovering at US$ 2441.70per tonne.
SHFE Aluminium Price Trend
Benchmark aluminium price for SHFE increased to stand at US$ 3053 per tonne on Monday, 17 May 2021.
The most-active SHFE 2106 aluminium declined 2.03% to close the day at RMB19,315 per tonne on Friday. The contract increased 1.04% to settle at RMB19,515 per tonne last Friday night, with open interest losing 139 lots to 179,000 lots. It is expected to move between 19,500-19,800 per tonne today.
