Three-month LME aluminium closed lower at US$1,842.5/t on Friday; SHFE aluminium fell 0.24%
Three-month LME aluminium declined 0.3% to close at US$1,842.5 per tonne on last Friday, with open interest rising to 747,000 lots. SMM expects the contract to trade between US$1,830-1,870 per tonne today.
As of Friday October 23, LME aluminium cash (bid) price stands at US$ 1829 per tonne, LME official settlement price stands at US$ 1829 per tonne; 3-months bid price stands at US$ 1842.50 per tonne, 3-months offer price is US$ 1842.50per tonne; Dec 21 bid price stands at US$ 1895.50per tonne, and Dec 21 offer price stands at US$ 1895.50per tonne.
The LME aluminium opening stock stood at 1479075 tonnes. Live Warrants totalled 1258250 tonnes, and Cancelled Warrants were 220825 tonnes.
LME aluminium 3-months Asian Reference Price is hovering at US$ 1843 per tonne.
SHFE Aluminium Price Trend
Benchmark aluminium price for SHFE increased to stand at US$ 2205 per tonne on Monday, 26 October 2020.
The most-liquid SHFE 2011 aluminium contract fluctuated around RMB14,700-14,740 per tonne in afternoon trading and closed down 0.24% at RMB14,725 per tonne on Friday. Open interest fell 3,102 lots to 117,000 lots.
The contract rose 0.17% to settle at RMB14,745 per tonne on Friday night. It is likely to fluctuate between 14,500-14,900 per tonne today.
