Three-month LME aluminium closed at US$1,797.5/t on Monday; SHFE aluminium advanced 1.37%

Three-month LME aluminium firmed 0.31% to end at US$1,797.5 per tonne on Monday. The contract is expected to fluctuate between US$1,760-1,820 per tonne today.

As of Monday September 7, LME aluminium cash (bid) price stands at US$ 1763per tonne, LME official settlement price stands at US$ 1763per tonne; 3-months bid price stands at US$ 1803.50 per tonne, 3-months offer price is US$ 1803.50 per tonne; Dec 21 bid price stands at US$ 1878.50 per tonne, and Dec 21 offer price stands at US$ 1878.50 per tonne.

The LME aluminium opening stock stood at 1533625 tonnes. Live Warrants totalled 1318150 tonnes, and Cancelled Warrants were 215475 tonnes.

LME aluminium 3-months Asian Reference Price is hovering at US$ 1794.03per tonne.

SHFE Aluminium Price Trend

Benchmark aluminium price for SHFE increased to stand at US$ 2137 per tonne on Tuesday, 08 September 2020.

The most-liquid SHFE 2010 aluminium contract climbed to an intraday high of RMB14,550 per tonne, ending up 1.37% at RMB14,480 per tonne on Monday.

The contract closed 0.52% higher at RMB14,510 per tonne in overnight trading. The October contract is likely to trade between 14,500-14,800 per tonne today.
