Three-month aluminium rose 1.2% to close at US$2,449.5/t; SHFE aluminium declined 1.08%

Three-month aluminium inched up 1.2% to close at US$2,449.5 per tonne on Tuesday, 08 June 2021, with open interest losing 2,670 lots to 721,000 lots. SMM expects the contract to trade between US$2,400-2,500 per tonne today as US dollar rebounded slightly.

As of Tuesday, June 8, LME aluminium cash (bid) price stands at US$ 2439 per tonne, LME official settlement price stands at US$ 2439 per tonne; 3-months bid price stands at US$ 2438 per tonne, 3-months offer price is US$ 2438 per tonne; Dec 22 bid price stands at US$ 2436.50 per tonne, and Dec 22 offer price stands at US$ 2436.50 per tonne.
The LME aluminium opening stock stood at 1653175 tonnes. Live Warrants totalled 1063850 tonnes, and Cancelled Warrants were 589325 tonnes.
LME aluminium 3-months Asian Reference Price is hovering at US$ 2415.93 per tonne.
SHFE Aluminium Price Trend
Benchmark aluminium price for SHFE decreased to stand at US$ 2877 per tonne on Wednesday, 09 June 2021.
The most-liquid SHFE 2107 aluminium contract finished the day 1.08% lower at RMB18,260 per tonne on Tuesday. The contract settled 0.46% higher at RMB18,460 per tonne in the overnight trading, with open interest decreasing 2,710 lots to 190,000 lots.
