Primary offered in a limited edition mode, 50 units of the motorbike will be available. The Cake Bukk off-road platform has been specially crafted for trail and track use, with the company boss, Stefan Ytterborn, explaining that it displays “the boundary-pushing performance ambition of Cake products”. It offers “true excitement blended with responsibility”.

The Bukk platform has been classified as an A2 off-road bike and has been designed and produced on a new platform featuring a bespoke frame, geometry and suspension, with the aim of providing a “category-leading” power to weight proportion. The motorbike weighs only 64 kg for the frame and 21 kg for the battery due to the untamed usage of an aluminium frame and aircraft-grade alloys for the prime components.

The bike has been amped by a 9kW motor of nominal power with a peak of 16kW, which also offers an enormous torque of 310lb-ft, generating a speed of about 62mph. Cake also has underlined that the removable 72V, 2.9kWh battery gives the bike enough strength for an off-road ride of 3 hours. The Bukk platform can be charged from nil to 100 per cent in 2.5 hours on a standard outlet.

The aluminium frame in the Bukk makes it more agile since aluminium is lighter than steel or any other conventional metal. Many automobile heads are switching to aluminium, only adhering to this quality of the metal. Moreover, aluminium is the best ingredient for a dirt bike as it is corrosion-resistant and can be made shiny again after a single wash.

For the history enthusiasts, there is another fact, the tradition for Cake models, specifically the term Bukk, arrives from Gotland, a Swedish Island where the firm has its base for testing jobs. In fact, Bukk means ‘Thunder Cloud’ in the archaic language called Gutnish, which was once spoken on the island.
