Sohar Aluminium to sponser Gulf Aluminium Dinner 2014

Sohar Aluminium will be organizing a gathering of the aluminium industry at Al Bustan Palace Hotel between February 5 and 6.

The event held under Gulf Aluminium Council’s patronage, will have London Metal Exchange’s (LME) chief executive officer, Garry Jones, as the key speaker. They will have reputed names such as Sayyid Taimur bin Asad bin Tariq Al Said in their chief guest list. The event is a great chance for showcasing the prowess of Oman in aluminium producing sector as well as offers the platform to promote Oman, its businesses, its industries and also future development prospects.

The key decision makers all over the world will be attending the dinner event and they will have an opportunity for exploring future businesses as well as investment opportunities in Oman.

On the sidelines, the Gulf Aluminium Council (GAC)’s board of directors comprising of Gulf’s aluminium smelters’ chief executive officers will meet in Muscat for discussing issues of common interest and find out ways of strengthening cooperation between the aluminium industries in Gulf.

"We are extremely honoured that His Highness Sayyid Taimur bin Asad bin Tariq Al Said has graciously accepted our invitation to be the chief guest at this prestigious event," said Mulham Al Jarf, chairman of Sohar Aluminium.

GAD is considered as a sought-after event in aluminium industry, the reason behind is its exclusivity and high-level guests invited to the event. With this event taking place, the top rank executives from various aluminium production companies, power generation manufactures, aluminium users and traders get a common platform atleast once a year. The delegates and participants are mainly from Gulf and Mena region. Others participating are from Australia, Russia, the US, Canada, Africa and Europe.
