Singapore launches aluminium composite panel products in Western African Countries

Dr Koh Poh Koon, Singapore’s Minister of state for Trade and Industry, is visiting Western African Countries of Ivory Coast and Ghana with the intention of strengthening economic ties. Dr Koh Poh Koon is also looking for business opportunities in the region.

Dr Koh has introduced aluminium composite panel products in Ivory Coast. The panels are manufactured by Archicom. Archicom is a Singapore-based aluminium composite materials producer.

With the release of these products, Archicom has made its first foray into Africa. The aluminium composite panels aim to meet growth of market demand for building and construction services in Ivory Coast.

Dr Koh said, "Ivory Coast will be able to access growing markets in the Asia region through Singapore while also gaining insights that are relevant to its developmental needs." In his visit, the minister is meeting with ministers and government officials in order to make stronger bilateral relations.

He also explained that sectors like construction, agriculture and urban development are best suited areas for collaboration between Singapore and Ivory Coast.
