SHFE aluminium price ascends by US$25/t to come in at US$3,127/t; LME is closed for Christmas Holidays
The London Metal Exchange was closed on Tuesday, December 28, for Christmas Holiday. On Friday, December 24, LME aluminium cash (bid) price stood at US$2,846 per tonne. On the other hand LME aluminium official settlement price closed at US$2,848 per tonne.
3-month bid price and 3-month offer price for the same day stood at US$2,841 per tonne and US$2,841.50 per tonne, respectively. December 22 bid price and December 22 offer price hovered around US$2,797 per tonne and US$2,802 per tonne.
SHFE Aluminium Price Trend
On Wednesday, December 29, the benchmark aluminium price for SHFE moved up by US$25 per tonne to stand at US$3,127 per tonne.
The most-traded SHFE 2202 aluminium closed down 0.28% or RMB 55 per tonne to RMB 19860 per tonne, with open interest down 1899 lots to 214526 lots.

The most-liquid SHFE 2202 aluminium contract rose 0.38% to settle at RMB 19,825 per tonne overnight. Three-month LME aluminium fell 0.98% to settle at US$2,820 per tonne last Friday.
