Shenyang Aluminum and Magnesium Institute Technology Company (SAMTC) recently completed the wireless communication project for the multifunctional crown block at Shaanxi Nonferrous Yulin Electrolytic Aluminium Factory. The project utilized a new generation of industrial communication technology, incorporating 5GHz fast mobile roaming wireless technology.

This implementation achieved dual-channel wireless hot standby redundant communication for a multifunctional crown block in an electrolysis workshop. The result is a novel and reliable mobile communication solution for mobile operating equipment, including multifunctional units.
This project addresses several issues encountered in the 24 multifunctional crown blocks at Shaanxi Nonferrous Yulin Electrolytic Aluminium Factory. These issues include frequent communication failures, increased workload for inspection and maintenance, and low efficiency resulting from loose cables and worn or bent protective layers. To tackle these problems, Al-Mg Technology Company has implemented controllers and multipath gateways.
These devices offer various functionalities, and the integration of multipath transmission technology with 5GHz wireless technology has the potential to enhance communication stability and dependability. Additionally, this combination enables the wireless medium to replace wired connections, significantly lowering the likelihood of communication failures. Furthermore, this technology also facilitates remote maintenance and expedited overhaul capabilities, allowing field specialists to correct operational programmes efficiently. Consequently, this significantly reduces overhaul duration and enhances production efficiency.
SAMTC operates at the forefront of technological advancements and is close to production sites. The company consistently explores and adopts innovative technologies to facilitate the high-quality development of the aluminium industry. These efforts have garnered significant recognition and commendation from stakeholders.
