Shenhuo Aluminium Foil wins 'Shanghai Green Manufacturing Demonstration Unit' award

The Shanghai Municipal Economic and Information Technology Commission, in conjunction with the Municipal Development and Reform Commission, recently released the roster of green manufacturing demonstration units for the first batch of 2023. Among these units, Shanghai Shenhuo Aluminium Foil Co Ltd was honoured with the "Shanghai Green Manufacturing Demonstration Unit designation."

Since 2018, the firm has undertaken an average of 1 to 2 essential energy savings and environmental protection initiatives every year, saving 974.7 tonnes of standard coal, which equates to a 1450.0-tonne reduction in carbon dioxide emissions. The application for the company's "green factory" at the state level has successfully been evaluated by Shanghai experts. It has now progressed to the audit phase under the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

Previously, the Yunnan Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology revealed that Shenhuo Stock Yunnan Company was named to the Yunnan Provincial 2023 Green Manufacturing list. After being called the provincial "green factory" in 2022, the company won the honour again and was recommended by Yunnan Province to the National Ministry of Industry and Information Technology to participate in the 2023 national "Green Factory."

The company, being the pioneer of the green aluminium evaluation unit and one of the early adopters in the nation to undergo the green aluminium evaluation successfully, remains committed to advancing research in energy-saving and consumption-reducing technologies. It leverages the "5G+ industrial Internet" to investigate the comprehensive life cycle of green intelligent manufacturing design, thereby making valuable contributions towards integrating innovative and sustainable development within the non-ferrous metal industry.
