Shelbyville company to invest in press, expansion

“Brazeway has been a longstanding employer in Shelby County, and I am pleased to see them growing at their Shelbyville location. The announcement of this project is a direct result of the city and county units of government, as well as the Shelby County Development Corporation, coming together successfully for economic development purposes. The city and the county were compelled to put forth a cooperative effort based on Brazeway’s longevity and continued commitment to the community,” DeBaun said.
Mike Adams, vice president of market and product development for Brazeway, said the investment allows the company to provide “clarity and confidence” to its customer base.
“It will also give Brazeway the capability to provide improved products in the future, as we develop longer life alloys and smaller profiles that increase the robustness and performance of our customers’ systems,” Adams said. The company expects the press to be operational by the second quarter of 2016. It will be the seventh press in production for aluminum heat transfer products at Brazeway.
