Rimowa teams up with GEWA to launch a special-edition aluminium violin case

Rimowa, the high-quality luggage manufacturer, joined hands with the German music and equipment producer (GEWA) to create a special edition violin case. The inside of the violin case is made out of hand-finished microfibre and the GEWA neck pad system.

Regarding the outside, it has the recognisable aluminium design from Rimowa, which has two TSA-approved locks and a shoulder strap. As Rimowa worked on the outside of the violin case, GEWA helped with the project by building the violin case inside.

The inside comprises a hand-finished microfibre and the GEWA neck pad system. The violin case's silver construction blends very well with many of Rimowa's other offerings. It includes a cover to protect the violin, a pocket for bows and other accessories, and a microfiber lining that won't harm a violin's delicate wood surface.
Also, it incorporates Gewa's unique neck pad system, a movable part that enables the box to transport violins of various lengths. There is even a hygrometer and humidifier to prevent the air within from being too dry or too humid and harming a sensitive instrument.
