Plascore, Inc., a manufacturer of lightweight composite products and a global leader in engineered core, will invest $5,973,290 to construct a new 80,000 square foot facility in Zeeland, West Michigan. The expansion will create approximately 35 jobs over three years.

Plascore has witnessed an increase in demand for its machined aramid and aluminium products. As a result, the company continues to purchase new equipment and expand its production capacity.

“We at Plascore are thrilled at the opportunity to grow here in West Michigan,” said Olaf Huebner, Vice President of Operations at Plascore. “Thank you to the City of Zeeland and Lakeshore Advantage for supporting our growth.”

The City of Zeeland approved an Industrial Facilities Tax Exemption over 12 years to support the company’s new project, according to a press release from Lakeshore Advantage, the local economic development organization that assists employers with growth opportunities in Ottawa and Allegan counties.

Jennifer Owens, President of Lakeshore Advantage said, “Plascore is an innovator in lightweight, high-performance composite products. Their growth in West Michigan continues to deepen the bench of manufactured products and diverse industry applications for those products. Their investment in equipment and operations demonstrates their commitment to the community and their employees.”

“With the assistance of Lakeshore Advantage, the City of Zeeland is once again excited to work with Plascore to make their expansion plans in the City of Zeeland become a reality,” said Tim Klunder, City Manager for the City of Zeeland.
