The trial production of the first phase of the China-based East Sunshine low-carbon, high-end battery aluminium foil project began on November 2 to prepare for its official production scheduled for December. The East Sunshine project aims to establish a low carbon high-end battery aluminium foil facility, with a substantial investment of 10.5 billion yuan.

The project will be executed in three stages, resulting in the construction of a production capacity of 200,000 tonnes per year for low-carbon, high-end battery aluminium foil and its associated components.
In the project's first stage, nine rolling mills have been incorporated, while the remaining seven rolling mills are now undergoing installation and commissioning processes. It is anticipated that by June of the following year, nine rolling mills will be operational, enabling the production of an annual output of 60,000 tonnes of battery aluminium foil.
