Pan American Energy will continue gas supply to Puerto Madryn smelter: Aluar

Aluar, the biggest aluminum producer of Argentina, said on Thursday that Pan American Energy, the oil company has agreed to continue supplying its Puerto Madryn smelter with natural gas. The two companies is said to negotiate a disagreement over prices.
Aluar said, the agreement seems good for 90 days while talks on energy price continue. They said Pan American notified last week they would halt the natural gas supplies due to the price disagreement. The Puerto Madryn smelter has aluminum production capacity of 460,000 tonnes per year, according to its website.
Pan American, 60% owned by BP, was not available for comment on Thursday.
