
The Norwegian aluminium and renewable energy company, headquartered in Oslo Norsk Hydro holds a position among the list of “Fortune – The World’s Most Admired Companies 2022” as one of only three companies from Scandinavia.

Hilde Merete Aasheim, the President & CEO of Hydro stated, “This is a great recognition of the work that is being done by our people around the globe. I am also impressed that we are one of only three Scandinavian companies on the list.”
Fortune, The World’s Most Admired Companies is based on a survey that engulfs a wide range of criteria, comprising investment value, quality of management and products, social responsibility and ability towards talent retention.

Norsk Hydro stands as the only Norwegian company incorporated in the list and ranks number 5 among industry peers, along with metals companies such as Alcoa. While the two other Scandinavian companies making the list are the Danish logistics company Maersk and Swedish car manufacturer Volvo.
However, this needs to be noted that the study surveys 3,700 top executives and directors from eligible companies, along with financial analysts, to identify the companies that enjoy the strongest reputations in their industries and across industries.
