Meadow has unveiled a refill system built around aluminium packaging, aimed at consumer goods companies seeking to reduce waste and comply with new packaging regulations.
{alcircleadd}The launch comes as businesses prepare for stricter packaging requirements under the European Union’s Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) and California’s Senate Bill 54 (SB54).
Aluminium plays a central role in the system’s design. The company said the metal’s durability and recyclability make it suitable for repeated use, while its protective properties help preserve product quality.
According to Meadow, the refill solution has been designed for retail and commercial environments with a focus on operational efficiency, product protection and waste reduction.

The system includes a tamper-resistant refill mechanism intended to maintain product safety and hygiene during use. Meadow said the refill process can be completed in around 22 seconds and is designed to minimise spills and handling issues.
The dispenser also includes a built-in alert feature that notifies staff when refill levels are running low, helping reduce interruptions during operation.
Victor Ljungberg, Co-Founder and CEO at Meadow, said, “We created Meadow because we could see that sustainable packaging was failing, not because people did not care, but because the solutions asked too much of them. The Meadow Kapsul SleeveLock applied this to the hospitality industry.
It’s faster and simpler for housekeeping teams while costing operators no more than the systems they are currently using. It also delivers a premium finish that mid to high-end properties expect. The hospitality industry has a significant packaging waste issue, and we believe the Meadow Kapsul SleeveLock is a significant step towards helping businesses begin to solve it.”
