Magna BDW technologies GmbH joins ASI as new Industrial User member

Magna BDW technologies GmbH has become a new Industrial User member of Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI). This brings the total number of members working toward a responsible aluminium value chain to 116.

Magna BDW technologies GmbH, a subsidiary of the Magna Group manufactures die-cast aluminium products for the automotive industry. The company has around 550 employees at the Markt Schwaben location. The main customers are Daimler, BMW and ZF.

“At Magna BDW technologies we run our business with a view towards long-term social and environmental sustainability. We believe that ASI Membership is the next step to further increase the sustainability of our products,” said Markus Wimmer, General Manager, Magna BDW technologies GmbH.

ASI is a global, multi-stakeholder, non-profit standards setting and certification organisation that aims to recognise and foster the responsible production, sourcing and stewardship of aluminium.
