Luca Zipponi takes helm as the new CEO of rolled products division at Vedanta Aluminium

Vedanta Aluminium, India’s leading aluminium producer, has appointed Luca Zipponi as the CEO of rolled products. In his new role, Luca will lead the growth and manage all operations for this product group, which serves sectors including automotive, insulation, power projects, electrical, and packaging. He will focus on leveraging technology to drive innovation and deliver enhanced value to customers, further solidifying Vedanta Aluminium’s market leadership and commitment to operational excellence.

With over 30 years of experience, Luca brings a deep wealth of knowledge and expertise to his new role. He has held numerous leadership positions across Europe and Asia, including his previous role as Group Chief Operating Officer and Managing Director UK at Reflexallen Group. His extensive experience in operations and strategy is anticipated to play a crucial role in advancing Vedanta Aluminium’s rolled products business.

Vedanta Aluminium’s Bharat Aluminium Company (BALCO) unit in Korba, Chhattisgarh, is home to a cutting-edge rolled products facility. With an annual capacity of 0.72 lakh tonnes (LTPA), this advanced setup includes casting stations, a continuous caster, hot rolling mills, and cold rolling mills, demonstrating their commitment to state-of-the-art technology and production.
