LME cash price of aluminum up after two-day drop

Weakening prices changed direction when the aluminum cash price rose 1.0 percent on Wednesday, April 24 on the LME to $1,858 per metric ton. On the LME, the 3-month price of aluminum inched up 0.9 percent to $1,888 per metric ton.
The cash price of primary Indian aluminum gained 0.7 percent.
Chinese aluminum prices closed flat for the day. The cash price of Chinese aluminum saw little price change on Wednesday. Chinese aluminum scrap stayed flat. The price of Chinese aluminum billet also remained essentially flat. For the fifth day in a row, the price of Chinese aluminum bar remained essentially flat.
