
LME aluminium opened at US$2,778 per tonne on Thursday and closed at US$2,786 per tonne, an increase of US$4.5 per tonne or 0.16 per cent.

On May 12, LME aluminium cash bid price closed at US$2,686 per tonne, and LME aluminium official settlement price halted at US$2,688 per tonne. The former had witnessed a drop of US$50 per tonne or 1.82 per cent, while the latter had gone down by US$49 per tonne or 1.79 per cent.
3-month bid price and 3-month offer price had descended by US$48 per tonne or 1.73 per cent and US$49 per tonne or 1.76 per cent. The price for the same had closed at US$2,722 per tonne and US$2,723 per tonne.
On the same day, December 23 bid price and December 23 offer price had dipped by US$47 per tonne to close at US$2,698 per tonne and US$2,703 per tonne.
LME aluminium opening stock closed at 546350 tonnes. Live warrants and Cancelled warrants totalled at 288175 tonnes and 258175 tonnes.
LME aluminium 3-month Asian Reference Price had decreased by US$48.87 per tonne or 1.74 per cent to peg at US$2,750.07 per tonne.
SHFE aluminium price
As of today, May 13, the benchmark aluminium SHFE price has dropped by US$42 per tonne or 3.94 per cent to settle at US$2,968 per tonne.
The most-traded SHFE 2206 aluminium closed up 0.12 per cent or RMB 25 per tonne to RMB 20,045 per tonne, with open interest down 1,544 lots to 183,822 lots.
The most-traded SHFE 2206 aluminium contract opened at RMB 19,945 per tonne overnight and rose to RMB 20,235 per tonne before closing at RMB 20,095 per tonne, down RMB 145 per tonne or 0.72 per cent.
