
LME aluminium opened at US$2,271.0 per tonne on Wednesday, with its low and high at US$2,261.0 per tonne and US$2,297.0 per tonne, respectively, before closing at US$2,285.0 per tonne, up 0.59 per cent.

On Wednesday, January 31, both LME aluminium cash bid price and LME aluminium official settlement price increased by US$ 5.5 per tonne or 0.24 per cent to settle at US$2,231.50 per tonne and US$2,232 per tonne.
As per the London Metal Exchange (LME) price chart, both 3-month bid price and 3-month offer price added US$5.5 per tonne or 0.24 per cent to close at US$2,270 per tonne and US$2,270.50 per tonne.
December 25 bid price and December 25 offer price ascended by US$5 per tonne or 0.19 per cent to halt at US$2,507 per tonne and US$2,512 per tonne.
LME aluminium opening stock came in at 537575 tonnes. Live warrants and Cancelled warrants arrived at 318575 tonnes and 219000 tonnes. LME aluminium 3-month Asian Reference Price surged by US$29.17 per tonne to clock at RMB 2,280 per tonne on the same day,
SHFE aluminium price
On Thursday, February 1, the SHFE aluminium price slumped by US$8 per tonne or 0.30 per cent to reach US$2,644 per tonne. The most-traded SHFE 2403 aluminium contract opened at RMB 19,050 per tonne overnight, with its low and high at RMB 19,010 per tonne and RMB 19,185 per tonne before closing at RMB 19,010 per tonne, unchanged from the previous trading day.
