
LME aluminium opened at US$2,249.5 per tonne on Tuesday, with its high and low at US$2,249.5 per tonne and US$2,222 per tonne, respectively, before closing at US$2,241 per tonne, an increase of US$7 per tonne or 0.31 per cent.

On Tuesday, September 26, both LME aluminium cash bid price and LME aluminium official settlement price ascended by US$12 per tonne or 0.54 per cent and US$12.5 per tonne or 0.57 per cent to stand at US$2,194 per tonne and US$2,195 per tonne.
LME aluminium 3-month bid price and 3-month offer price hiked by US$13.5 per tonne or 0.60 per cent to settle at US$2,237.50 per tonne and US$2,238.50 per tonne. December 24 bid price and December 24 offer price grew by US$17 per tonne to clock at US$2,375 per tonne and US$2,380 per tonne.
LME aluminium opening stock halted at 494300 tonnes. Live warrants and Cancelled warrants closed at 221400 tonnes and 272900 tonnes. LME aluminium 3-month Asian Reference Price dipped by US$3.74 per tonne or 0.16 per cent to reside at US$2,228.31 per tonne.
SHFE aluminium price
On September 27, the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) aluminium benchmark price has grown by US$10 per tonne or 0.37 per cent to settle at US$2,685 per tonne. Overnight, the most-traded SHFE 2311 aluminium contract opened at RMB 19,405 per tonne, with its lowest and highest at RMB 19,350 per tonne and RMB 19,440 per tonne before closing at RMB 19,400 per tonne, up RMB 65 per tonne or 0.34 per cent compared with the previous trading day.
