
LME aluminium opened at US$2,430.5 per tonne on Tuesday and closed at US$2,385 per tonne, down US$42 per tonne or 1.73 per cent.

On Tuesday, July 19, both LME aluminium cash bid price and LME aluminium official settlement price stopped at US$2,411.50 per tonne and US$2,412 per tonne after witnessing a hike of US$34.5 per tonne or 1.45 per cent.
3-month bid price and 3-month offer price went up by US$29.5 per tonne or 1.23 per cent and US$28.5 per tonne or 1.19 per cent to score at US$2,419.50 per tonne and US$2,420.50 per tonne.
December 23 bid price and December 23 offer price spiked by US$25 per tonne to peg at US$2,450 per tonne and US$2,455 per tonne.
LME aluminium opening stock was recorded at 325075 tonnes. Live warrants and Cancelled warrants for the same day closed at 156300 tonnes and 168775 tonnes.
3-month Asian Reference price also grew by US$29.22 per tonne or 1.22 per cent to settle at US$2,405.49 per tonne.
SHFE aluminium price
On Wednesday, July 20, the SHFE benchmark aluminium price has dropped by US$24 per tonne or 0.89 per cent to stand at US$2,649 per tonne.
The most-traded SHFE 2208 aluminium closed up 2.07 per cent or RMB 365 per tonne to RMB 17,960 per tonne, with open interest down 14,088 lots to 128,002 lots.
The most-traded SHFE 2208 aluminium contract went down after opening at RMB 18,030 per tonne and closed at RMB 17,770 per tonne, down RMB 260 per tonne or 1.44 per cent.
