LME aluminium price grows by US$19.5/t to clock at US$3,064/t; SHFE price ascends by US$62/t
Three-month LME aluminium opened at US$3.39.5 per tonne on Tuesday and closed at US$3.95 per tonne, an increase of $57 per tonne or 1.88%.
On Tuesday, January 25, LME aluminium cash (bid) price stepped up by US$19 per tonne or by 0.62% to peg at US$3,063 per tonne. On the other hand, LME aluminium official settlement price also hiked by US$19.5 per tonne or by 0.64% to register at US$3,064 per tonne, for the same day respectively. 3-month bid price and 3-month offer price also recorded at US$3,060 per tonne and US$3,061 per tonne. December 23 bid price and December 23 offer price closed at US$2,780 per tonne and US$2,785 per tonne.
LME aluminium opening stock settled at 845625 tonnes. Live warrants and Cancelled warrants clocked at 451525 tonnes and 394100 tonnes.
LME aluminium 3-month Asian Reference Price came in at US$3,031.96 per tonne.
SHFE aluminium price
On Wednesday, January 26, the benchmark aluminium price for SHFE ascended by US$62 per tonne to stand at US$3,405 per tonne.
The most-traded SHFE 2203 aluminium closed down 0.68% or RMB 145 per tonne to RMB 21055 per tonne, with open interest down 3749 lots to 206797 lots.
The most-traded SHFE aluminium contract opened at RMB 21,190 per tonne, with the highest and lowest prices at RMB 21,505 per tonne and RMB 21,115 per tonne respectively, and closed at RMB 21,450 per tonne, up RMB 350 per tonne or 1.51%.
