LME aluminium opened at US$2,377 per tonne on Tuesday and closed at US$2,439.5 per tonne, up US$26.5 per tonne or 2.82 per cent.
On Tuesday, April 18, both LME aluminium cash bid price and LME aluminium official settlement price hiked by US$36.5 per tonne or 1.54 per cent to settle at US$2,400 per tonne and US$2,401 per tonne.
3-month bid price and 3-month offer price closed at US$2,422 per tonne and US$2,423 per tonne after recording a surge of US$52 per tonne or 1.96 per cent.
December 24 bid price and December 24 offer price shot up by US$50 per tonne or 1.96 per cent to reside at US$2,595 per tonne and US$2,600 per tonne.
LME aluminium opening stock settled at 573075 tonnes. Live warrants and Cancelled warrants closed at 500200 tonnes and 72875 tonnes.
LME aluminium 3-month Asian Reference Price grew by US$21.26 per tonne or 0.89 per cent to peg at US$2,402.91 per tonne.
SHFE aluminium price
On Wednesday, April 19, the SHFE aluminium benchmark price expanded by US$25 per tonne or 0.91 per cent to clock at US$2,764 per tonne.
SHFE 2305 aluminium closed up RMB 245 per tonne or 1.31 per cent at RMB 19,000 per tonne. The open interest added 649 lots to 173,335 lots.
Overnight, the most-traded SHFE 2305 aluminium contract opened at RMB 19,030 per tonne and rose to RMB 19,060 per tonne before closing at RMB 19,020 per tonne, up RMB 150 per tonne or 0.79 per cent.
