LME aluminium price drifts lower by US$18.5/t to US$2,290.50/t; SHFE price ascends to US$2,661/t
LME aluminium opened at US$2,302 per tonne on Monday and closed at US$2,288 per tonne.
On Monday, September 5, both LME aluminium cash bid price and LME aluminium official settlement price slumped by US$18 per tonne or 0.77 per cent and US$18.5 per tonne or 0.80 per cent to settle at US$2,290 per tonne and US$2,290.50 per tonne.
3-month bid price and 3-month offer price slipped by US$11 per tonne or 0.47 per cent to rest at US$2,289 per tonne and US$2,290 per tonne.
December 23 bid price and December 23 offer price went down by US$10 per tonne or 0.42 per cent to stop at US$2,347 per tonne and US$2,352 per tonne.
LME aluminium opening stock closed at 277050 tonnes. Live warrants and Cancelled warrants settled at 193600 tonnes and 83450 tonnes.
LME aluminium 3-month Asian Reference Price descended by US$6.79 per tonne or 0.29 per cent to halt at US$2,301.53 per tonne.
SHFE aluminium price
The SHFE benchmark aluminium price recorded a hike of US$11 per tonne or 0.41 per cent to stand at US$2,661 per tonne.
The most-traded SHFE 2210 aluminium closed up 2.06 per cent or RMB 370 per tonne to RMB 18,355 per tonne, with open interest down 4,719 lots to 166,953 lots.

The most-traded SHFE 2210 aluminium contract opened at RMB 18,355 per tonne last night and rose to RMB 18,425 per tonne before closing at RMB 18,355 per tonne, flat from yesterday.
