
LME aluminium opened at US$3,230 per tonne on Monday and closed at US$3,082 per tonne, down US$162.5per tonne or 5.01 per cent.

On 25th April, LME aluminium cash bid price stood at US$3,089 per tonne, facing a 4.76 per cent or US$154.50 per tonne decline, while LME aluminium official settlement price halted at US$3,090, plunging down 4.75 per cent or US$154 per tonne.
3-month bid price stood at US$3,103 per tonne, plummeting 4.79 per cent or US$156, and 3-month offer price came in at US$3,105 per tonne, losing US$156 per tonne or 4.78 per cent.
On the same day, December 23 bid price and December 23 offer price settled at US$2,965 per tonne and US$2,970 per tonne, respectively, both with a 3.88 per cent or US$120 fall.
LME aluminium opening stock continued to decrease by 0.33 per cent or 1,950 tonnes from 586,000 tonnes to 584,050 tonnes as of 25th April. Live warrants totalled 372,750 tonnes facing an upward swing of 0.86 per cent or US$3,200 per tonne. Cancelled warrants read 211,300 tonnes after 5,150 tonnes or 2.38 per cent cut.
The LME aluminium 3-month Asian Reference Price decreased by 3.94 per cent or US$129.81 per tonne to stop at US$3163.30 per tonne.
SHFE aluminium price
Today, on 26th April, the benchmark aluminium price for SHFE has fallen by US$68 per tonne or 2.1 per cent to stand at US$3,171 per tonne if compared with the data collected yesterday.
The most-traded SHFE 2206 aluminium contract opened at RMB 20,600 per tonne overnight and rose to RMB 20,705 per tonne before closing at RMB 20,515 per tonne, down RMB 750 per tonne or 3.53 per cent.
The most-traded SHFE 2206 aluminium closed down 5.48 per cent or RMB 1,200 per tonne to RMB 20,700 per tonne, with open interest up 24,880 lots to 209,981 lots.
