LME aluminium opened at US$2,385 per tonne on Thursday and closed at US$2,403 per tonne, an increase of US$18 per tonne or 0.75 per cent.
On Thursday, August 4, both LME aluminium cash bid price and LME aluminium official settlement price decreased by US$29 per tonne or 1.20 per cent to rest at US$2,373.50 per tonne and US$2,374 per tonne.
3-month bid price and 3-month offer price went down by US$27.5 per tonne or 1.14 per cent and US$28 per tonne or 1.16 per cent to stand at US$2,372.50 per tonne and US$2,373 per tonne.
December 23 bid price and December 23 offer price climbed down the graph by US$28 per tonne or 1.14 per cent to settle at US$2,417 per tonne and US$2,422 per tonne.
LME aluminium opening stock stood at 290675 tonnes. Live warrants and Cancelled warrants halted at 154800 tonnes and 135875 tonnes.
LME aluminium 3-month Asian Reference Price had 1.13 per cent or US$27.23 per tonne deducted from it, stopping at US$2,380.65 per tonne.
SHFE aluminium price
Today, on August 5, the SHEFE benchmark aluminium price went up by US$42 per tonne or 1.54 per cent to close at US$2,764 per tonne.
The most-traded SHFE 2209 aluminium closed up 0.14 per cent or RMB 25 per tonne to RMB 18,190 per tonne, with open interest up 2,243 lots to 167,481 lots.
The most-traded SHFE 2209 aluminium contract opened at RMB 18,200 per tonne overnight and rose to RMB 18,540 per tonne before closing at RMB 18,450 per tonne, up RMB 260 per tonne or 1.43 per cent.
