The LME aluminium price movement on Friday, August 29 showed an upward movement from the previous day, reflecting a steady market performance.
As per the data, the LME aluminium cash bid price stood at USD 2,620 per tonne, and the LME aluminium cash offer price stood at USD 2621 per tonne. On the previous day, both the prices had closed at USD 2,614 per tonne and USD 2,615 per tonne. Comparing the two days, both LME aluminium cash bid price and LME aluminium official settlement price had gained USD 6 per tonne or 0.22 per cent.
On the same day, both 3-month bid price and 3-month offer price settled at USD 2,615 per tonne, and USD 2615.5 per tonne compared to USD 2609.5 per tonne and USD 2610 per tonne the previous day. In a single day, the LME aluminium 3-month cash bid price and LME aluminium 3-month offer price had moved up by USD 5.5 per tonne or 0.21 per cent.
The December 26 cash bid price and the offer price was USD 2,660 per tonne and USD 2,665 per tonne, both of which moved up from the previous day, where the December 26 cash bid and offer price was seen at USD 2,655 per tonne and USD 2,660 per tonne respectively, elevating by USD 5 per tonne or 0.18 per cent each.
LME aluminium 3-month Asian Reference Price on August 29 arrived at USD 2,615.50 per tonne. The same on August 28, was USD 2605, representing an increase of USD 10.5 per tonne, 0.40 per cent on the next day.
LME aluminium opening stock on August 29 came in at 481050 tonnes, which on the previous day was at 481150, owing to a decrease of 0.02 per cent. Live warrants and the cancelled warrants stood at 468,750 tonnes and 12,300 tonnes, respectively.
LME alumina Platts price, on August 29, stood at USD 368.79 per tonne from USD 368.88 per tonne the previous day, constituting a decrease by 0.02 per cent.
