
LME aluminium opened at US$2,207.5 per tonne on Monday, with its low and high at US$2,185 per tonne and US$2,213.5 per tonne, respectively, before closing at US$2,207.5 per tonne, down US$3 per tonne or 0.14 per cent.

As of Monday, July 24, both LME aluminium cash bid price and LME aluminium official settlement price inched up by US$1 per tonne or 0.04 and US$1.5 per tonne or 0.06 per cent to halt at US$2,154 per tonne and US$2,155 per tonne. On a W-o-W calculation, a decline of US$40 per tonne was recorded from US$2,194 per tonne and US$2,195 per tonne on July 18.
On July 24, the 3-month bid price and 3-month offer price dipped by US$5.5 per tonne or 0.25 per cent and US$4.5 per tonne or 0.20 per cent to reside at US$2,191 per tonne and US$2,193 per tonne. December 24 bid price and December 24 offer price descended by US$5 per tonne or 0.21 per cent, settling at US$2,355 per tonne and US$2,360 per tonne.
LME aluminium opening stock came in at 512500 tonnes. Live warrants and Cancelled warrants stood at 277625 tonnes and 234875 tonnes.LME aluminium 3-month Asian Reference Price moved down the graph by US$2.23 per tonne to close at US$2,208.45 per tonne.
SHFE aluminium price
On Tuesday, July 25, the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) aluminium price gained US$16 per tonne or 0.62 per cent to reside at US$2,561 per tonne. On W-o-W basis, a hike of US$19 per tonne was recorded from US$2,542 per tonne on July 18.
The most-traded SHFE 2309 aluminium contract opened at RMB 18,230 per tonne overnight, with its low and high at RMB 18,225 per tonne and RMB 18,310 per tonne, respectively, before closing at RMB 18,290 per tonne, up RMB 30 per tonne or 0.16 per cent.
