LME aluminium benchmark price hikes by US$11.5/t ; SHFE market will remain closed for the Qingming Festival
On Wednesday, April 3, LME aluminium cash bid price and LME aluminium official settlement price hiked by US$11.5 per tonne or 0.49 per cent to stand at US$2,333.50 per tonne and US$2,334 per tonne.
As per the LME data, 3-month bid price and 3-month offer price hiked by US$15.5 per tonne or 0.65 per cent and US$17 per tonne or 0.71 per cent to clock at US$2,378 per tonne and US$2,380 per tonne.
December 25 bid price and December 25 offer price gained US$17 per tonne or 0.66 per cent to peg at US$2,580 per tonne and US$2,585 per tonne. LME aluminium opening stock came in at 541350 tonnes. Live warrants and Cancelled warrants settled at 326475 tonnes and 214875 tonnes.
LME aluminium 3-month Asian Reference Price expanded by US$23.98 per tonne or 1.01 per cent to halt at US$2,378.44 per tonne.
SHFE aluminium price
On Thursday, April 4, the SHFE market is closed for the Qingming Festival (The Tomb-Sweeping Day) until April 6. However, the price as of yesterday had levitated by US$21 per tonne or 0.77 per cent to dock at US$2,742 per tonne.
