
LME aluminium opened at US$2,306.5 per tonne on Wednesday, with its high and low at US$2,333 per tonne and US$2,290.5 per tonne, respectively, before closing at US$2,324 per tonne, an increase of US$21 per tonne or 0.91 per cent.

On Wednesday, April 12, both LME aluminium cash bid price and LME aluminium official settlement price dropped by US$9 per tonne or 0.39 per cent and US$9.5 per tonne or0.41 per cent to settle at US$2,258 per tonne and US$2,258.50 per tonne.
3 month bid price and 3-month offer price went down by US$5.5 per tonne or 0.23 per cent and US$6 per tonne or 0.25 per cent to score at US$2,301.50 per tonne and US$2,302 per tonne.
December 24 bid price and December 24 offer price moved down by US$2 per tonne to halt at US$2,495 per tonne and US$2,500 per tonne.
LME aluminium opening stock closed at 527450 tonnes. Live warrants and Cancelled warrants clocked at 444700 tonnes and 82750 tonnes.
LME aluminium 3-month Asian Reference Price settled at US$2,305.43 per tonne, recording a slump of US$29.86 per tonne or 1.27 per cent.
SHFE aluminium price
On April 13, the SHFE aluminium benchmark price hiked by US$17 per tonne or 0.63 per cent, stopping at US$2,692 per tonne.
SHFE 2305 aluminium closed down RMB 50 per tonne or 0.27 per cent at RMB 18,415 per tonne. The open interest declined 8,307 lots to 181,649 lots.
Overnight, the most-traded SHFE 2305 aluminium contract opened at RMB 18,440 per tonne, with its lowest and highest at RMB 18,415 per tonne and RMB 18,505 per tonne before closing at RMB 18,480 per tonne, up RMB 40 per tonne or 0.22 per cent.
