Aluminium Stewardship Initiative announced that KOBELCO group (Kobe Steel Group) has joined as the new production and transformation member. Since its inception in 1905, KOBELCO has collaborated with clients to develop and deliver goods that suit their needs while also advancing society. KOBELCO is involved in a wide range of businesses like aluminium, welding equipment, steel and other advanced materials.
“As one of the few manufacturers that provides both steel and aluminum products, Kobe Steel has been operating its business globally. The aluminum-related business is growing in Japan and other Asian countries as well as in North America. As a member of ASI, our company will support the initiative to drive transformation for the global aluminum industry with the aim of contributing to the environment and society and achieving sustainable growth through its business activities,” said Makoto Mizuguchi, Executive Vice President, head of the KOBELCO Steel & Aluminum Business.
Apart from this, the company is also involved in the machinery business, which includes industrial, engineering, construction machines and the electric power business. The KOBELCO Group aspires to grow its corporate value by performing numerous social duties and contributing to the resolution of social challenges by delivering technology, goods, and services per the Group Corporate Philosophy's sustainability management framework.
