
The economy of Japan staged better than expected in December’20 quarter, but the recovery movement is at a low pace and economists predict the country’s economy to contract again on the running quarter due to a second state of emergency to restrict the spread of the coronavirus.

The island nation in the East Asia region has recorded 95,782 tonnes of export of aluminium foil during 2018-19 and the revenue generated through this export stood at $1.09 billion. The export for 2020 remained at 81,928 tonnes and the revenue earnings accounted for $738.80 million. However, when the export volume and earnings for 2020 gets assorted with the existing two years, it signifies 177,710 tonnes and $1.83 billion respectively.

Japan’s export for aluminium foil in 2018 reflected 26,709 tonnes and the revenue earnings remained at $336.24 million, whereas, in 2019, the export saw skyrocketing growth by 158.61%, as the export volume rose to 69,073 tonnes and earnings grew to $755.50 million.
The export for 2020 stood at 81,928 tonnes, demonstrating an upswing of 18.61%, while the earnings showed a drop to $738.80 million.
The major trading nation for Japan’s export of aluminium foil is Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Czech Rep., Chile, China, Egypt, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, India, Indonesia, Italy, etc.
