Inaugartion of Aluminium Coating Project at Sohar Industrial State

Recently there was a ceremony at Sohar Industrial Estate under Shaikh Said bin Humaid al Harthy, to inaugurate Aluminium Coating project considered as an expansion project of aluminium rolling factory.
The total amount to be spent for the project is 32 mn and this is the first time this kind of a project is being done in the Sultanate. The new plant’s production capacity is approx. 25,000 tons per annum of the coated rolled aluminium.
Many industries make use of coated aluminium for the manufacturing of containers for packing food, construction materials, roofing and others. The construction work of this project will require less than a period of two years to end and it is expected that commercial production will start in the month of September 2015.
