Hindalco Industries has once again bagged the title of world’s most sustainable aluminium firm in the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices 2021. In the 2021 edition of the S&P Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) corporate sustainability assessment (CSA) rankings, Hindalco was ranked first in the aluminium industry for its sustainability performance. Hindalco is the sole aluminium business to be admitted to the elite DJSI World Index in 2021, and its membership in the DJSI Emerging Markets Index remains unchanged.

The inclusion on the list, according to Hindalco Managing Director Satish Pai, is a tribute to the company's comprehensive strategy and demonstrates its commitment. The firms in this index account for 10% of the world's 2,500 biggest corporations by market capitalization. This index is calculated by taking into account the firms' environmental, governance, and social factors, as well as the long-term economic prospects. The firm was also allowed to keep its participation in the DJSI Emerging Markets Index as a result of this.
Hindalco Industries is a global leader in the aluminium and copper industries. Bauxite mining, alumina refining, aluminium smelting, downstream rolling, extrusions, foils, and alloy wheels, as well as captive power plants and coal mines, are all part of the company's aluminium activities across the nation.
