Post consolidation, the top three vendors will together constitute a major share of the metal beverage container market.

It has been observed the market for carbonated soft drinks (CSDs) has been shrinking over the last one decade, whereas demand for other types of beverages has been growing at a steady rate. Packaging industry players are modifying their product portfolios accordingly to accommodtae this shift in consumer preference and are also resorting to other packaging formats.

The packaged drinking water segment witnessed a strong growth in the last financial and is predicted to hold ground this financial as well. Coming to CSDs, although drop in sales is likely to have an impact on the beverage containers market, it will be offset by the rise in demand for other beverage containers.
