Festo to provide PM Metal with aluminium tubing for use in welding cells

Festo, a leading German industrial control and automation firm headquartered in Esslingen am Neckar, is providing PM Metal with new welding cells made up of aluminium as a retrofit to use in the existing systems. As per the company, the tubing provides a weld-spatter-resistant alternative to laminated and steel pneumatic tubing.

The tube may be placed near the welding process, allowing for a more effective pneumatic setup while avoiding burn-through. The tubing has a nominal OD to avoid clearance issues and is intended to work with conventional pneumatic push connections right out of the box, so no additional equipment or bigger connectors are required. The tubing keeps its shape and stays in place without the use of extra clips or tie downs after it's been created.
Since 2015, PM Metal has been supplying high-quality material to the steel industry. PM Metal is one of the major stocking distributors of stainless, carbon, and alloy fittings, flanges, bar, pipe, sheets and plates.
