Starting operations in 2016 at a 50,000 square-foot plant, F3 MFG Inc. has expanded its production site to triple and it has increased its workforce by more than tenfold. They started with 14 employees and the company now employs more than 200 workers.
The company manufactures truck beds, truck and van bodies and other accessories out of aluminium.
According to the company co-owner Bill Cleaves, they use aluminium because it is a much more durable, gives a much better appearance and doesn't rust and corrode like steel bodies.
"We don't have robotics. Everything is made by hand here. We employ over 200 local people, and they are the business," Galea added.
Galea and Cleaves consider their company as one of trail bearers in the aluminium revolution in which more and more truck makers and part makers are shifting to aluminium from steel. F3 MFG Inc. was named the third fastest growing company in 2018. They are projecting a growth rate of 70% for the company in 2019.
