A simple web enquiry finally led to an international collaboration between Covet International, a maker of architectural products including aluminium claddings, Takasho Japan and S22 to supply architectural cladding for the Mairie de Païta (Council building) in New Caledonia.

Timber look aluminium cladding from Takasho’s Ever Art Wood series was specified for the project in a selection of colours. Ever Art Wood series of aluminium claddings in photorealistic timber and metal finishes offer the clients a maintenance free, dimensionally accurate, lightweight alternative to timber and steel.

Considering the harsh tropical environment of the building location, a durable timber alternative capable of withstanding the elements was required to be installed in the building exteriors. Designers could merge the look of real timber and metal, and also create textured finishes in a light weight, high quality aluminium in beautiful Japanese quality and finish.

S22 of New Caledonia is now working with Covet to introduce the Ever Art Wood range of architectural cladding within the Pacific region.
