{alcircleadd}Malaysia, the 20th largest exporter in the world, is estimated to witness an increase in exports of aluminium wire this year. The top aluminium wire importer from Malaysia is India. India imported about 15354 tonnes of aluminium wire in 2016. The country exports its major chunk of aluminium wire to Saudi Arabia, South Africa, and Germany.

As per global export-import data, Malaysia’s aluminium wire export reached an estimated total of 39742 tonnes in 2015. In 2016, the volume dropped noticeably to stand at 36025 tonnes. In 2017, the estimated aluminium wire export volume is expected to reach 40041 tonnes.
Revenue from aluminium wire export by Malaysia has also decreased in 2016. The country generated revenue of US$91 million and US$72 million in 2015 and 2016 respectively. The value of aluminium wire export is estimated to reach US$95 million by the end of 2017.
