
Ducati has unveiled the Desmo450 SM, a new production supermoto developed from its Desmo450 MX platform, featuring an aluminium twin-spar frame. This is designed to combine low weight, rigidity and strength. The motorcycle made its debut during World Ducati Week and is aimed at competition use. The Desmo450 SM uses the same aluminium frame architecture as the motocross model. Ford Motor Co said on Monday it will boost production of Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator, their two large SUVs by 25% this year to challenge rival General Motor that is outperforming Ford financially in a highly profitable U.S. market segment. Leading US food and beverage companies and trade associations have urged President Trump and his administration not to impose tariffs or import restrictions on primary aluminium, cansheet and scrap. Leading soft drinks company Britvic has announced £100milllion investment in new production lines at its manufacturing site in Rugby.
