
The aluminium flat-rolled products are generally made by rolling thick aluminium between rolls that reduce the thickness and lengthen it through hot and cold rolling processes. However, flat-rolled aluminium products are widely used in several applications including household utensils, packages, closures, building interiors & exteriors, roofs and home electric appliances.

Egypt is considered as one of the few emerging market countries that came across a positive growth rate in 2020. The Egyptian government stated that it expected the economy grew 2.8% in the 2020/2021 fiscal year amid the huge disarray across the global economy.
The nation located at the North-eastern corner of Africa, Egypt exported 163,173 tonnes of aluminium flat-rolled products during 2018-20, generating revenue of around $340.44 million.
In 2018, Egypt exported 23,730 tonnes of aluminium flat-rolled products, which incurred foreign revenue of $57.05 million, whereas, in 2019, the export exhibited an enterprising growth by 72.38%, as the export volume escalated to 85,939 tonnes, accounting with earnings of $193.45 million.

Egypt’s export of aluminium flat-rolled products in 2020 manifested an erratic downfall by 37.74%, as the export volume plunged to 53,504 tonnes, dragging the earnings drop at $89.94 million.
The export for 2021 is anticipated to rebound with an upswing by 16.90%, as the export demand is predicted to ascent and remain at 62,551 tonnes and earnings to stand at $106.95 million.
The major export destination for Egyptian aluminium flat-rolled products are Algeria, Bulgaria, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Morocco, Portugal, Slovenia, Turkey, USA, etc.
