Czech Republic’s Aluminium foil importation downscales in 2020: Projected 5.5%

The automotive industry is the Czech Republic's largest industry and the other key sectors in the region include machinery, iron and steel production, metallurgy, chemical production, electronics, transport equipment, textiles, glass, ceramics, defence and pharmaceuticals.

The importation of the Aluminium foil has played a significant role in the Czech Republic, with a growth trend from 2017-19, though in 2020 there is a projection of 5.5% de-growth.

In 2017 the aluminium foil importation stood at 45842 tonnes which valued $142.91 million. The year 2018 showed a hike of 2838 tonnes this reflected volume of 48680 tonnes, a 5.82% growth and amounted $ 161.41 million.

The aluminium foil import again showed a positive trend in 2019 with a rise of 2109 tonnes, this posted the capacity of 50789 tonnes, inclination by 4.15%, foreign revenue expended was $162.16 million.

The 2020 aluminium foil importation has forecasted a dip of 5.5%. The import volume should stand at 47,975 tonnes, a downfall by 2814tonnes, valuation of import is155.24 million.
