
As updated by Shanghai Metals Market, social inventories of primary aluminium across eight consumption areas in China, including SHFE warrants, came in at 610,000 tonnes as of Thursday, 09 January 2020, barely changed from a week ago.

A00 aluminium ingot price extended growth by RMB 10 per tonne to stand at RMB 14470 per tonne on Thursday, 09 January 2020. The price is expected to move within a range of RMB 14450-14490 per tonne. Spot aluminium price is likely to be traded at a premium of RMB 50-90 per tonne.

Aluminium ingot price in Wuxi and Hangzhou increased by RMB 15 per tonne and RMB 35 per tonne to stand at RMB 14455 per tonne and RMB 14475 per tonne. The prices are likely to range at RMB 14450-14460 per tonne and RMB 14470-14480 per tonne. But the price in Foshan stood at RMB 14430 per tonne, down RMB 40 per tonne.
Aluminium ingot prices in Chongqing, Shenyang and Tianjin rose by RMB 10 per tonne, RMB 30 per tonne and RMB 15 per tonne to stand at RMB 14420 per tonne, RMB 14480 per tonne and RMB 14470 per tonne. Their average price is expected to move within a range of RMB 14400-14440 per tonne, RMB 14470-14490 per tonne and RMB 14460-14480 per tonne.
The prices in Linyi and Gonyi came in at RMB 14500 per tonne and RMB 14320 per tonne, up by RMB 40 per tonne and RMB 30 per tonne.
