China’s aluminium billet stocks surged by 48,700 tonnes on higher arrivals

According to Shanghai Metals Market, stocks of aluminium billet across five major consumption areas in China increased by 48,700 tonnes on higher cargoes arrivals. The stocks stood at 214,200 tonnes as of Thursday, February 18.

Inventories of aluminium billets in Huzhou increased the most. The stocks came in at 31,000 tonnes as of Thursday, February 18, a jump of 13,000 tonnes from the pre-holiday level. The aluminium billets stocks in Wuxi and Changzhou stood at 45,000 tonnes and 22,500 tonnes, an increase of 9,800 tonnes and 6,400 tonnes from last week.

Aluminium billet inventories in Foshan and Nanchang rose 12,100 tonnes and 7,400 tonnes to stand at 90,000 tonnes and 25,700 tonnes.
